Do you really need all-wheel drive (AWD)? When is it handy to have? Why is it better than 2WD?

These are some of the questions we get asked and it’s no surprise, AWD is a function that a growing percentage of new cars either come with as standard, or is available with higher-spec models.

Like anything, there are pluses and minuses with going AWD.
