The Alfa Romeo trophy cabinet must be full to the brim with the Alfa Romeo Giulia continuing to add to a string of recent car awards.
After last week being named Octane Magazine’s ‘Performance Car of the Year’, the Giulia has now taken Motor Trend’s Car of the Year award in the U.S.

Part of the publications ‘Golden Calipers’ awards, the Giulia was named overall winner with the new Honda CR-V picking up SUV of the Year and the Ford F-150 pick-up taking Truck of the Year.
Announced in Los Angeles, the awards focus on safety, efficiency, value, advancement in design, engineering excellence, and performance of intended function.
Motor Trend Features Editor, Christian Seabaugh, says the Alfa Romeo Giulia does all that, and puts the joy back into driving.
“It handles absolutely beautifully, with light, linear sports car–like steering. It rides like a luxury car with no impact harshness in the cabin, and it’s downright quick.
“This is a car that puts a smile on your face. It doesn’t matter whether you’re sitting at a stoplight, bombing down a back road, or cruising on the highway. It just wants to please.”
