DB9 and Rapide S recalled over transmission fault…

Aston Martin Recall
The recall affects both Rapide S and DB9 models.

A small number of 2013 and 2014 Aston Martin models need to be returned to dealerships to fix a potential transmission switch issue.

The ACCC says the DB9 and Rapide S vehicles contain printed circuit boards within the transmission control switches, which may be defective. If the vehicle is affected the transmission will revert to neutral gear without driver input for gear selection.

The vehicles were sold between the 10th of June 2013 and the 1st July 2014 from four dealerships -Trivett Classic Melbourne, Trivett Classic Sydney, Barbagallo Aston Martin and Sunshine Aston Martin.

Owners will be notified directly by their dealership with the fault rectified by way of the installation of new switches.
