50th consecutive record sales month for Mercedes-Benz

Mercedes-Benz breaks global sales record again in April 2017…

What a result! Mercedes-Benz managed to achieve its 50th consecutive record sales month in April.

180,599 new Mercedes-Benz vehicles were delivered to clients across the globe in the month, a total up a significant 10.1% on the April 2016 total.

Across the first four months of 2017 Mercedes-Benz sales are up 14.5%.

Much of the global sales growth for the brand is coming from our region, the Asia-Pacific.

Mercedes-Benz head office telling us sales in April in the region were up just under an additional 30%.

In Australia, according to VFACTS, local sales in April were only up 0.3% (in a market that retracted by 5% on the total from the corresponding month in 2016).

Across the first four months of the year local Mercedes-Benz sales were ahead 2.6%.

Sales chief at Daimler AG, Britta Seeger, tells us the strong global results are very welcome.

“April was very successful for Mercedes-Benz: We achieved our 50th consecutive record month for unit sales and once again a double-digit growth.

“With the new S-Class we want to continue the story of our successful luxury saloon car.”
