Impressive power outputs for new flagship Panamera…
The Porsche range for 2018 will welcome a high-output version of the Porsche Panamera hybrid.
Known as the Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid, the model will take bragging rights as being almost the most powerful Porsche model ever.
The only Porsche production model that has ever produced more power than the new four-door offering is the limited production 918 Spyder – a vehicle that delivered a whopping 661kW.
The slightly more sedate new offering will still pack quite a punch though – 507kW/848Nm!
Combining a 4.0 litre V8 engine and an electric motor, Porsche is promising a super quick 3.2 second sprint to 100km/h and fuel consumption as low as just 2.9L/100km.
That fuel economy assisted by a 50km electric drive range.
While the cabin is dominated by a huge 12.3” infotainment screen and buyers needing more space can opt for a ‘stretched’ version of the Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid, the ‘Executive version’.
Boasting a wheelbase that is 150mm longer than the standard car, the stretched Panamera also picks up extra gear, including rear-wheel steering and quad-zone climate control.
U.S. pricing for the model has been confirmed as starting from $184,400, plus an additional $10,400 for the Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid Executive.
No confirmation at this stage that the vehicle is coming to Australia, we will keep you updated though in our Porsche News section.
