The U.S. sourced SUV will be priced from $27,990 and available from next month across five model grades – LS, LS+, LT, LTZ and LTZ-V.
The entry-level version of the new Holden mid-size SUV will be powered by GM’s 127kW/275Nm 1.5 litre turbo ECOTEC petrol engine and will be available with either a six-speed manual, or six-speed auto transmission.
The Holden Equinox LS+ and above gets the larger 2.0 litre turbo-petrol engine found in the new fully-imported Holden Commodore.
Producing 188kW/353Nm, the engine will come mated exclusively to a nine-speed auto transmission.
All-wheel drive is only available on the two top-spec models, its optional on the Equinox LTV and standard on the LTZ-V.
Holden confirming the third engine promised in the Equinox range, a 100kW/320Nm 1.6 litre turbo-diesel four-cylinder will come online in 2018 (though no firm dated confirmed).
Standard features in the entry-level Equinox LS include:

- 17” alloy wheels
- Reverse camera and rear parking sensors
- Auto headlights
- Apple CarPlay/Android Auto
The Equinox LS+ is auto only and adds the Holden Eye forward facing camera system and this brings Automatic Emergency Braking, Lane Keep Assist, and Lane Departure Warning etc.
