2017 update for Jaguar F-TYPE

There’s an updated version of the Jaguar F-TYPE landing soon in Jaguar dealerships, the biggest change for 2017 being an updated infotainment system.

Coming standard across all variants, the new Touch Pro infotainment system promises to be super-fast and intuitive with updated sat-nav functions such as real-time traffic and live weather reports.

Another new technology being added into the Jaguar F-TYPE for 2017 is an app that was developed in collaboration with GoPro.

The ReRun app records video from your GoPro camera and combines that with all the key vehicle performance data including speed, throttle position, gear selection, braking force and g force.

Those external styling tweaks include a revised front bumper design and full LED headlights.

While the F-TYPE interior benefits from new slimline seats, updated chrome and aluminium trim finishers and new colour schemes.

“Great sports car design is about proportion and purity.” says Ian Callum, Director of Design at Jaguar.

“The most challenging element of the process for designers is to focus on and maintain an exciting silhouette that promises performance.

“For the 2018 Jaguar F-TYPE, we looked at how we could fine-tune key details to deliver even more clarity of purpose in the overall design – for the driver, the passenger and onlookers.”

We will bring you more details on the updated model in our Jaguar F-TYPE News section as it comes to hand.
