Revamped Renault Clio to arrive this year…
The updated Renault Clio will be landing on our shores soon with its launch occurring this week, but before that we get a heads up on the pricing and specifications offered in the new model.
The hatch will sport a new naming system with the Clio Life, Zen, Intens then the range topping GT-Line, following the new Renault Koleos and Megane.
The Renault Clio R.S. will be launched in a few month’s time.
All drivetrains will remain the same with a EDC (efficient dual clutch) transmission on offer in all variants and a manual also in the Life.
2017 Renault Clio pricing:
- $15,990 – Life manual
- $17,990 – Life EDC
- $19,900 – Zen EDC
- $22,900 – Intens EDC
- $22,900 – GT-Line EDC
The base model Life will be offered in drive-away prices of $17,990 for the manual and $19,990 for the EDC.
It now comes with keyless entry and push button start, auto headlights and wipers, rear parking sensors and camera and a leather steering wheel plus body coloured mirrors and handles, exterior chrome highlights and a new 16” wheel design.
While the Clio Zen comes with LED headlights on the news C-shaped lighting signature, front fog lights, front parking sensors, satellite navigation and two-tone 16” alloy wheels.
Velvet and faux-leather upholstery, an upgraded navigation and multimedia system, parking assist, side parking sensors and 17” alloy wheels kit out the luxury grade.
And the sporty GT-Line boasts a rear spoiler, aluminium sports pedals, blue upholstery highlights, GT-Line badging and 17” alloy wheels.
Renault Managing Director Justin Hocevar says sales of the Clio have been strong this year and will only improve with the latest update.
“Sales kicked off strongly this year, which is set to continue now that we’ve added more features, new technology and a sharp price making the Clio and even better value proposition.”
