New addition to the E-Class range to start from $96,000…
Mercedes-Benz Australian dealerships will have an all-new Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe for you to test drive from around June.
Now we have the Australian pricing and basic specification details for the new coupe.
Mercedes-Benz confirming to us this evening that the new offering would come in a three-model grade line-up and there would be a limited edition ‘Edition 1 Package’ too.
2017 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe range:
- E 220 d Coupe – 143kW/400Nm 2.0 litre turbo-diesel engine
- E 300 Coupe – 180kW/370Nm 2.0 litre turbo-petrol engine (from $110,900)
- E 400 4MATIC Coupe – 245kW/480Nm 3.0 litre bi-turbo petrol engine and all-wheel drive (from $145,900)
All three models will come standard with a nine-speed auto transmission, while standard gear includes alloy wheels, leather upholstery, park assist, and Apple CarPlay/Android Auto.
Meantime, the Edition 1 Package is limited to just 555 cars worldwide (though no word on how many we will get here yet).
The pack adds two-tone nappa leather upholstery, cashmere white magno paintwork, black highlights, Edition 1 badges and bi-colour 20” AMG multi-spoke alloy wheels.
Available on the E 300 and E 400 4MATIC only, pricing is $5900 and $2420 respectively.
Gorden Wagener, Chief Design Officer Daimler AG, says Australian buyers are sure to love the new E-Class Coupe styling.
“Our E-Class Coupé shows the next stage in the further development of our design idiom.
“Boasting perfect proportions, it embodies a puristic design with an emphasis on surfaces, reduced lines and sensual forms.
“This reduced design idiom is “hot” and “cool” at one and the same time.”
