Keenly-anticipated new Toyota HiLux arrives.

The all-new model of the Toyota HiLux is now arriving in Toyota dealerships across Australia.
A model that Toyota has described as the toughest, most comfortable and most Australian HiLux ever, the new 2016 Toyota HiLux range is priced from $20,990 and is available in 31 different variants, including 2WD and 4WD models.
Toyota has given the new model an updated selection of engines, including the new 450Nm 2.8 litre turbo-diesel unit that now features in the Toyota Prado and will power the soon to arrive Toyota Fortuner.
Mated to those engines are upgraded six-speed transmissions, while Toyota tell us the new eight-generation Toyota HiLux also boasts a thicker frame, stiffer body, beefed-up suspension and brakes, and expanded off-road ability.

While the ute’s towing capacity is now up to 3.5 tonnes with payloads increased to up 1240kg.
But the new model is also about delivering a nicer cabin and more features to occupants, including a more compliant ride, more comfortable and supportive seats, quieter cabins and standard air-conditioning, power windows and mirrors.
After years of development and up to 650,000kms of testing in Australia, Toyota Australia’s Tony Cramb says quite simply there has never been a better HiLux.
“The new HiLux is remarkable for the way it inspires go-anywhere confidence, advances its role as a workhorse and is also fun to drive with SUV-like ride, handling, comfort and convenience,”
“It is ideally suited to Australian customers for whom towing is part of their life, carrying a load is vital for their job – and they love their bull bars, winches and other accessories.”
