Five-star safety score for new 2016 Renault Megane.
Australian buyers of the 2016 Renault Megane can rest assured that their new car will come with top safety credentials.
The new Renault Megane, which debuted at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September, has just been handed a full five-star Euro NCAP safety score on the back of boasting both a rigid and secure body shell and the standard fitment of an array of safety systems.
Built on the same platform as the Kadjar crossover (a model unlikely to come to Australia), Renault say this platform includes the use of very high elastic limit steel for the spars, side rails and cross members and just one square millimeter of this type of steel can withstand a load of 120kg.
The new Renault Megane will arrive in Australian Renault dealerships with a top safety score.
The Renault Megane also picking up points in Euro NCAP testing for occupant restraint systems, including dual-generator front air-bags, while active safety systems in the Megane for 2016 include Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Departure Warning, Safe Distance Warning and Overspeed Protection.
The new 2016 Renault Megane will land in Australian Renault dealerships in the second half of 2016. We will keep you updated with local specification, availability and pricing details through next year.
