Australian Mitsubishi dealerships take delivery of Pajero Sport.
What’s a Mitsubishi Pajero Sport? It’s the replacement for the long standing Mitsubishi Challenger.
The new generation of Mitsubishi’s mid-size 4×4/SUV welcomes the global name with Pajero Sport being adopted locally after many years in existence on overseas models.
Arriving in Mitsubishi dealerships now, the 2016 Mitsubishi Pajero Sport has just claimed a five-star ANCAP safety rating.
Mitsubishi’s new SUV has arrived in Australia with hopes high for the Pajero Sport.
Being offered in three model grades – GLX, GLS and Exceed, Pajero Sport features the same 2.4 litre turbo-diesel engine as found in the Mitsubishi Triton. An eight-speed automatic transmission comes as standard.
Offering 133kW and 430Nm, the Pajero Sport offers a handy 3.1 tonne braked towing capacity and claimed combined fuel economy of 8.0L/100km.
Priced from $45,000, the Pajero Sport also gets an electronic park brake, reverse camera, reversing sensors and push-button ignition as standard and head of marketing at Mitsubishi Motors Australia, Tony Principe, says the new SUV can’t be beaten on value for money.
“Pajero Sport adds another stylish and practical option to Mitsubishi’s SUV arsenal with stacks of appeal for active families, empty nesters and serious 4-wheel drivers shopping for a comfortable, reliable and clever 4×4 SUV that is equally capable in Australian cities as it is off the beaten track.”
