Australian Mitsubishi dealerships will soon have an all-new version of the Mitsubishi Challenger SUV on offer.
The new third-generation Mitsubishi Challenger was officially unveiled in Thailand today and, as the photos show, the new model will feature Mitsubishi’s new front face design, as found on the updated Mitsubishi Outlander.
Unveiled at the Bangkok International Grand Motor Sale, Mitsubishi tell us their new Challenger (known as the Pajero Sport in other markets) will be powered by a 2.4 litre turbo-diesel engine mated to a new 8-speed automatic transmission.
While it looks as though the traditionally quite ‘utilitarian’ feel of the Challenger might be softened up a little. Mitsubishi promising that handling, stability, ride and quietness have all been improved in the new third-generation model.
Inside, a high console proportion dashboard will feature and Mitsubishi has described the new Challenger as having “plush sculpted seats” that add to its luxurious feel. 2016 Challenger buyers also being promised an electronic parking brake and an around vehicle monitor system.
