2016 MINI Clubman lands in Australia – the new MINI offering has been stretched in all directions for 2016.

The MINI line-up in Australia now includes the new 2016 MINI Clubman.

The 2016 model arrives with quite a number of changes over the previous Clubman model, most notably those changes include larger external dimensions and a roomier cabin too. MINI has stretched the MINI Clubman in all directions, including overall length, adding a substantial 292mm to the model!

117mm wider and with a wheelbase extended by 123mm, MINI telling us the new six-door model offers spaciousness and practicality well above the superseded model.

The 2016 MINI Clubman has a decidedly premium ambiance, according to MINI.

Offered in two model grades – Cooper and Cooper S, the 2016 MINI Clubman is powered by three-cylinder 1.5 litre MINI TwinPower Turbo engines – the Cooper version offering 100kW and 220Nm, Cooper S gets more grunt – 141kW and 280Nm.

With standard features in the MINI Clubman Cooper for 2016 including a reverse camera, alloy wheels and a sports leather multifunction steering wheel, MINI Australia boss, Kai Bruesewitz, said the new Clubman continues the ongoing renewal of the MINI product range.
