An updated version of the Citroen DS3 and DS3 Cabrio will land in local dealerships in mid-April with added safety equipment.
Announced today by Citroen Australia, the new safety gear includes the standard fitment of the Active City Brake system, as well as a reverse camera and parking sonars.
The Active City Brake system works at speeds under 31km/h and will automatically apply the brakes if a low-speed collision is determined to be imminent. In the Citroen system, a short-range laser sensor is mounted behind the rear-vision mirror mount.
This is the first time the system has been offered on a Citroen in Australia and Citroen Australia boss John Statari says it’s a welcome inclusion for the new DS3 range.
“As our flagship marque, it is fitting that a DS badged vehicle is the first to receive the innovative Active City Brake technology,”
“The DS 3 is a vehicle that is suited to urban motoring and we are certain that the upgraded safety and styling package will enhance the vehicles appeal with Australian customers.”
We will bring you pricing and specification details for the new Citroen DS3 and DS3 Cabrio when confirmed by Citroen Australia.
