More than $600,000 raised in Toyota cricket raffle last season…
Sure, our focus at the moment is the football season, but before we know it the covers will be coming off again for another summer of cricket.
And this year there’s going to be a whole lot of cricket clubs around Australia that will have new gear and updated facilities, courtesy of the hard work of volunteers and Toyota Australia.
Toyota has just confirmed that it had helped local cricket clubs across the nation raise more than $600,000 last season, through the Toyota Good for Cricket Raffle.
Toyota put up a car and all the funds that the cricket clubs raised in the raffle are going towards facility upgrades, the purchasing of new equipment and uniforms and to help with registration fees.
Tony Cramb is the head of the sales and marketing at Toyota Australia and he says this year’s raffle was an even bigger success than the inaugural Toyota Good for Cricket raffle in 2015/16.
“Cricket is at the heart of many local communities and the Toyota Good for Cricket raffle helps keep local clubs strong for their players – whether they are juniors, young guns or old-timers,”
“The raffle enables the clubs and their members to concentrate on the sport they love rather than worrying about the money.”
