Stability Control confirmed in new Hino truck

The latest piece in the jigsaw puzzle that is the all-new Hino 500 Series Wide Cab has been laid in place with confirmation the new offering will come with stability control.

While still not mandated as a requirement for new heavy vehicles sold in Australia (despite a push for it by the Australian Trucking Association – details here), Hino Australia today confirmed the potentially lifesaving technology would be a standard inclusion.

Set for an official Australian launch next week, which we will attend, Hino tell us the new 500 Series Wide Cab will boast the most comprehensive active safety package of any Japanese truck in the medium duty truck category.

Adding that the inclusion of the Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) as standard across the wide cab model range is an Australian-first for this class.

The latest information/reveal of the new Hino, an offering set to challenge the dominant Isuzu F-Series in coming years, comes after Hino recently unveiled the new model’s cab and some of the exterior styling.
