The Czech car maker this morning confirmed it is introducing the five-year/unlimited kilometre warranty as standard from this month, the longer warranty corresponding with Skoda’s ten-year anniversary in Australia.
The five-year warranty applies to all Skoda vehicles sold to private, general fleet and government customers, while purchasers using their new Skoda vehicle for commercial purposes will be offered a five-year/150,000km warranty.
Previously the additional two years of coverage on Skoda vehicles was offered as an option and Skoda Australia Managing Director Michael Irmer said the now standard extended warranty is good news for car buyers.
“A Skoda is not only more economical to run and service than some rival Japanese vehicles, its warranty now exceeds their standard by two years.
“Our cars require servicing at 12 months/15,000km – not six months/10,000km, and can offer a worry-free Guaranteed Future Value finance option on every car.”
