The countdown is on to the official unveiling of the new-generation version of the world’s best-selling electric car – the Nissan LEAF.

Nissan today confirmed a September 5 debut for the new LEAF.

Confirmed for Australia, the 2018 Nissan LEAF promises a sleek new design and this interesting signal pedal drive experience

It is also expected to have an electric drive range of around 300km.

In confirming the debut, Nissan USA announced it would be taking the new-gen EV on a road trip to eight different cities as part of National Drive Electric Week.

“The timing couldn’t be better. Bringing LEAF to some of the most enthusiastic EV advocates just days after its global debut is the perfect way to kick things off for this technology-packed car,” said Brian Maragno, director, Nissan EV Marketing and Sales Strategy.

“We can’t wait to show off the all-new LEAF to electric vehicle owners and enthusiasts during National Drive Electric Week.”
