The recall notice advises that the gas generator of some front seatbelt tensioners may have been incorrectly crimped onto the actuator pipe of the belt tensioner.

What are the hazards?

Parts of the pyrotechnic system for the front seat belt tensioners may become dislodged on deployment in an accident and enter the vehicle interior, putting the occupants at risk of injury.

What should consumers do?

Skoda Australia will contact owners of affected vehicles in writing with information about how to arrange an inspection and repair.
