A quick look at the new models coming our way…
Australian car buyers certainly can’t complain about a lack of choice and next month will see more new products on offer.
All three cars have an interesting story to tell and we will be attending the Australian launches of them all.
What we know is that the Subaru crossover/SUV boasts more interior space over the superseded model and some extra ground clearance too.
While we can also look forward to the new XV having a little bit of extra power and torque.
Pricing has also been reduced and Subaru hopes all this together will help drive some added interest to a model that has been only really a mild-success in Australia.
The new Suzuki Swift is also going to be an interesting one to find out more about.
I’ve got to say, based on the photos we’ve seen so far that I’m a bit worried about the styling – but perhaps “in the flesh” it will tell a better story.
The new Swift comes into Australia after years of good sales numbers, but is up against an ever-improving mix of reasonably-priced competitors.
Lastly, can the Holden Astra sedan help boast the Astra up the sales charts?
Completing the local Astra line-up following the launch of the Astra hatch last year, the sedan is built on a different platform and its going to be interesting to see how it performs.
As always, we will bring you all the important pricing and specification details for those new offerings as they come to hand and first-drive reviews from their Australian launches.
