A recall has been initiated over a 4×4 jack sold online via eBay.

Being overseen by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission, the recall of the Australian Performance Systems Mean Green High Lift 4×4 Jack was initiated after it was found the jacks failed to meet Australian and New Zealand safety standards.

The ACCC recall notice says the Mean Green 1.5 high lift jack does not comply with the mandatory standard and thus poses a crushing hazard. This may result in serious injury or death.

Owners of Australian Performance Systems Mean Green High Lift 4×4 Jacks are urged to stop using the product immediately and contact Australian Performance Systems to organise for an immediate return and refund.
