Jaguar introduces new fuel payment app

No need to leave your Jaguar to pay for fuel with new payment app…

We purchase all sorts of things over the internet today, why not fuel as well?

Jaguar has just switched on a new app in the UK that allows drivers of their cars to pay for their fuel (at Shell service stations) without having to get out of their car.

The app, installed on the car’s touchscreen, allows you to make your fuel payment via PayPal or Apple Pay.

Jaguar tell us Android Pay will be added later in 2017.

Jaguar introduces new fuel payment appSet to be offered across the globe soon, including Australia, Peter Virk, Jaguar Land Rover‘s Director of Connected Car and Future Technology, says the app is simple and safe to operate.

“Making a payment directly will make refuelling quicker and easier.”

“With this system you can choose any pump on the forecourt and pay for the fuel even if you’ve forgotten your wallet or can’t find your credit or debit card.

“You will save time because there’s no more queuing to pay in a shop, and for drivers with children, it won’t be necessary to wake them up, or unstrap them from their seats to take them into the shop.

“Expenses and tax returns will also be made much simpler, with no receipts to lose as these will all be sent electronically.”

We will keep you updated with info regarding the app in Australia in our Jaguar News section.
