Iveco to fill significant bus order in Denmark

New Iveco-powered buses get to work

We may know Iveco primarily as a truck manufacturer, however next time you’re out and about have a look at the buses on duty on Australian roads.

There’s a good chance you’ll see the big and bold IVECO badge.

Iveco is one of the world’s leading bus chassis manufacturers and continues to win small, medium and large bus fleet orders from all corners of the world.

Just recently, Iveco won the contract for the supply of more than 200 buses in Kazakhstan, while 120 new hybrid Iveco buses are now being supplied to the Italian city, Milan.

The latest order is for 142 bus chassis that will be fitted with Crossway intercity bus bodies in the Czech Republic.

As the buses are completed, they will be transported to Denmark to operate in some of the nation’s busiest cities.

Crossway is one of the European market leaders in intercity buses, in fact of all new urban buses built in Europe last year – more than 60% came from the business.

118 of the buses will take up duties on regular interurban activities, while the remaining 24 will feature a lower entrance, which guarantees easy accessibility for passengers.

In confirming the deal, Iveco said Crossway satisfies the transportation needs of all passengers thanks to its versatility and the variety of versions it can offer.

Since the launch of the model, nearly 30,000 Crossway buses have been delivered to customers.

In other recent developments for Iveco Bus – Australian dealerships started taking delivery of the new Iveco Daily Mini-Bus and that same vehicle was named Mini-Bus of the Year 2017.
