Current series Jaguar cars affected

A recall of a range of MY17 and MY18 Jaguar vehicles has been initiated after a possibly dangerous fuel pipe issue was identified.

Being overseen by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC), Jaguar XE, XF sedans and F-Pace SUVs fitted with 2.0 litre diesel engines are affected.

The vehicles being recalled all have VINs within these ranges:

  • XE – SAJAB4CN0HCP06281 to SAJAB4BNXJCP18445
  • XF – SAJBB4BN4HCY51636 to SAJBJ4FN6JCY54217
  • F-PACE – SADCA2BN7JA240001 to SADCA2AN3JA899999

All of the affected vehicles were sold in Australia between the 20th of November 2016 and the 22nd of May 2017.

The recall notice warning that the fuel return hose may leak.

What are the hazards?

Increased fuel odour may be noticed and drivers may also observe liquid fuel puddles underneath the vehicle.

Fuel may leak onto the road surface, which can present a skid hazard to other road users posing as a crash hazard.

Should leaking fuel come into contact with a sufficiently hot surface in the engine bay there will be an increased risk of fire.

Jaguar Land Rover Australia will be contacting affected owners, requesting them to contact their nearest dealership, who will replace the fuel return hose free of charge.
