Five-star safety for Alfa Romeo Stelvio

Five-star safety for Alfa Romeo Stelvio

Alfa’s first SUV gets safety tick

Alfa Romeo sales in Australia are heading north at a healthy rate and you’d think this new Stelvio SUV will only turbocharge things further.

VFACTS data shows Alfa Romeo sales in June were up 85%, mostly on the back of the arrival of the Alfa Romeo Giulia.

That sporty new offering will soon be joined by the Italian brand’s first ever SUV – the Stelvio.

The new offering will land with a five-star Euro NCAP safety score, achieving a very impressive 97% for adult occupant protection.

The Stelvio also finished with an 84% child protection score, and was judged to have a 71% pedestrian protection rating.

While the standard fitment of autonomous emergency braking helped the mode grab a 60% safety assist score.

Euro NCAP report the Alfa Romeo product missed out on higher category scores due to the lack of knee protecting airbags, chest/pelvis airbags in the rear and an active bonnet.

We’ll continue to bring you the latest Alfa Romeo Stelvio News as it comes to hand, including local pricing and specification details.
