September event marks 50th anniversary

The incredible 50-year history of Western Star Trucks will be marked in Australia with a Show n Shine set down for September 9.

Confirmed by Penske Commercial Vehicles, the event will be held at the Mt Cotton Training Centre which is located just south of Brisbane, Queensland.

Open to all Western Star truck owners and drivers, Penske boss, Kevin Dennis, says the Show n Shine is an opportunity for the Western Star faithful to proudly display their machinery/

“We are very excited to be hosting the Show n Shine for Western Star owners and drivers,” said Kevin Dennis, Managing Director of Penske Commercial Vehicles.

“The 50th anniversary milestone speaks volumes about the Western Star Trucks brand and the robust, efficient truck models that customers are so passionate about.

“The Show n Shine will be a great way for us to directly meet with owners and drivers and discuss what is important for them in a truck, and for them to show off their own trucks and see what other Western Star enthusiasts are up to.”

While $50,000 worth of prizes will be awarded to participants with the trucks to be judged across categories including trucks aged under five years, trucks aged five to 10 years, trucks over 10 years old, best fleet and best tipper.

The Show n Shine will run from 11am to 4pm on September 9 at the Mt Cotton Training Centre in Cornubia, Queensland.
