Western Power takes a dozen Outlander PHEVs

Significant order for recently refreshed Mitsubishi hybrid SUV…

The Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV recently underwent a significant upgrade and now the pioneering plug-in hybrid SUV is about to start duties with Western Power.

The WA electricity provider has placed an order for 12 Outlander PHEVs.

And it was the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEVS ultra-low fuel consumption that was the selling point, according to Western Power CEO Guy Chalkley.

“These vehicles will help reduce emissions with a majority of metropolitan trips falling within the range of the electric engine mode.”

Boasting fuel economy as low as just 1.7 litres per 100km, and an electric drive range of around 54km, Mitsubishi Motors CFO Lindsay Stark tells us it is ideal for fleets.

“Western Power’s fleet of new Outlander PHEVs are versatile and can travel well beyond the limits of the existing charging infrastructure, it really is an EV without compromises.”

The 2017 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV is priced from $50,490.
