Polo Urban/Urban+ arrive
There’s an all-new version of the Volkswagen Polo in the pipeline and now Volkswagen has announced a couple of special edition versions of the outgoing model.
The Volkswagen Polo Urban and Polo Urban+ replace the Trendline and Comfortline variants.
Volkswagen Australia telling us the new additions will be available until the new sixth-generation model lands in Australia in March 2018.
The Urban pair continue to offer the drive-away pricing of the outgoing Trendline and Comfortline, but add $1,500 and $3,000 in added value respectively.
The Polo Urban, powered by the 66kW version of the 1.2 litre turbo four, adds 15″ Tosca alloys, leather steering wheel, parking brake and gear shift knob, a Multi-Function Display, and illuminated vanity mirrors.
The 81kW Comfortline replacing Urban+ features 16″ Portago alloys, front fog lights, dark tinted windows, auto headlights, driver fatigue detection, and rain sensing wipers.
This variant also gets heated front seats with Alcantara trim, climate control, auto dimming rear view mirror, front foot well lighting and chrome and silver decorative trim highlights.
Both also feature distinctive ‘Urban’ badging.
While the Polo Urban+ can also be enhanced with a new Driver Assistance Package that adds adaptive cruise control, emergency braking, sat-nav and front and rear parking sensors for an additional $1,800.
Finally, Volkswagen has also added the Flash Red paint colour, previously only found on the Polo GTI, to the special edition models.
