Sporty Volkswagen Polo GTI is back from $27,490.
Volkswagen Australia has relaunched the Volkswagen Polo GTI back into the local market with prices starting at $27,490 manual and $29,990 auto.
The sporty version of the small Volkswagen hatchback arrives with a 1.8 litre turbocharged petrol engine producing 141kW and 320Nm. Transmission choice is six-speed manual or seven-speed DSG automatic.
Volkswagen say the new Mark 7 Polo GTI will cover the 0/100km/h sprint in 6.7 seconds and fuel consumption comes in as low as a combined 5.7L/100kms.
External highlights include 17” alloy wheels, red brake calipers, a rear spoiler and diffuser and unique side sills, while the cabin gets the famous GTI tartan trim along with a leather wrapped steering wheel and aluminium finish pedals.
Volkswagen Polo GTI buyers will also be given the option of a Luxury Package that includes LED headlights and daytime driving lights, comfort sport front seats with Alcantara/leather-look upholstery and a panoramic electric glass sunroof.
An optional Driver Assistance Package adds an updated infotainment system with sat-nav, reverse camera, front and rear parking sensors and a Driver Fatigue Detection system.
The new Mark 7 Volkswagen Polo GTI is now landing in Australian Volkswagen dealerships.
