Volkswagen Polo recall launched over possible engine fault.
Over 2700 Volkswagen Polo vehicles sold in Australia are being recalled to have a potential camshaft adjuster fault rectified.
Affecting model year 2015 vehicles, the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission is overseeing the Volkswagen Polo recall.
If the defect occurs, this can lead to oil loss and in the worst case scenario the engine will no longer be timed correctly and valves may contact the pistons.
This may pose an accident hazard to the driver or other road users.
A letter is being sent to owners of the affected vehicles and more information is also available from Volkswagen service centres or Volkswagen Customer care - 1800 504 076.
