Volkswagen Golf Alltrack arrives - featuring AWD and more ground clearance, the VW Golf Alltrack is ready to head off-road.

The Volkswagen Golf range has expended with Australian Volkswagen dealerships taking delivery of the new Golf Alltrack.

Based on the Volkswagen Golf Wagon, the Volkswagen Golf Alltrack features a 1.8 litre turbocharged TSI engine that pushes its 132kW and 280Nm through a six-speed DSG auto transmission and the Volkswagen 4MOTION all-wheel drive system.

The new offering also brings something new to the Volkswagen Golf, three drive modes - eco, sport and off-road. If steering away from the bitumen, the Golf Alltrack offers up to an additional 20mm ground clearance, as well as beefed-up wheel arch mouldings and side sills.

With standard features including 17” alloy wheels, leather appointed upholstery and ambient lighting, the Volkswagen Golf Alltrack is priced from $37,990.

While two optional packages are also on offer in the Alltrack – Driver Assistance Package, which adds adaptive cruise control and city emergency braking and Sports Luxury Package, which brings 18” alloy wheels, a sunroof and tinted glass.
