The push by Volkswagen into a new era of electric and hybrid models will take another significant step forward this month with the German car giants set to show an updated version of the I.D. Crozz.
The vehicle, set to enter production in 2020, was initially shown at the Shanghai Auto Show earlier in the year.
Now, Volkswagen tell us they’ve made some changes to the SUV/crossover and will have the “further developed” vehicle at the Frankfurt Motor Show.

The I.D. Crozz is expected to have a drive range of up to 600km from a single charge.
Featuring a “highly contemporary SUV look” with a gloss black roof and a lounge-like interior, the I.D. Crozz has four “variable” individual seats.
The concept and the production versions have floor mounted batteries and Volkswagen say this allows for a roomy interior.
Other electric-driven projects that Volkswagen is working on at the moment include an electric passenger mini-bus/van, the I.D. Neo hatchback and ‘The Lounge’ – a model described as being “a more spacious SUV for North America”.
