Everything seems to be falling into place for the commercial vehicle division of Volkswagen in 2016.
The German car company has just reported sales data for Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles in September 2016 and for the first nine months of the year.
The news is all good too with strong increases in vehicles sales, especially the current T-Series.
43,200 Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles sales were reported in September 2016, that number up a significant 19.3% on the same month in 2015.
Across the first nine months of 2016 sales for the division have jumped 9.1% with more than 350,000 customer deliveries.
Locally, the Transporter was delivered to 199 customers in the month, an increase on the September 2015 total of 91.3%, while the Caddy found 129 buyers and that number was up 3.2%.
Jan-Sept 2016 Volkswagen Commercial Vehicle deliveries by model:
- 146,900 vehicles from the T model series (125,200; +17.3 per cent)
- 117,000 vehicles from the Caddy model series (104,500; +12 per cent)
- 51,800 vehicles from the Amarok model series (55,600; -6.9 per cent)
- 35,000 vehicles from the Crafter model series (36,100; -2.9 per cent)
“Our models are customer-oriented, that is why they are popular,” says Bram Schot, Sales and Marketing Chief at Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles.
“Our strong performance in Western Europe gives us powerful momentum, and we will continue this success with the new Amarok, which has been available for order at dealerships since this summer, and with the new Crafter, for which advance sales will soon begin.”
