Kawasaki has updated its supercharged H2 for 2016 and it is now available in selected Australian dealerships.
The 2016 Kawasaki Ninja H2 has received a few tweaks to the clutch and ECU, and is also available in a new colour scheme.
When it was launched, the H2 was fitted with a slipper clutch which helps to prevent the rear wheel from locking during aggressive downshifts.
For 2016, Kawasaki has upgraded the clutch to what it is calling an “assist and slipper clutch”.
The clutch assembly is 1kg lighter and Kawasaki is claiming it requires 40% less effort to operate.
The engine mappings, the Rain mode in particular, have been modified and the bike is now compatible with aftermarket data loggers.
The new colour scheme is called “Mirror Coated Spark Black”.
Overall the new colour scheme looks very similar to the previous one, except the frame is now grey and there is a glitter effect in the paint that can be seen on a closer look.
The price has also changed, with Kawasaki adding $1,000 to bring the price up to $34,000 plus on-road costs.
Kawasaki revealed last year that both the standard model and the track specification H2R will remain in limited production for 2016.
In Australia the bike is only available through Kawasaki Ninja H2 authorised dealers.
