Uber promises flying car services by 2020

The days of being stuck on the ground may be numbered with the long-promised flying car possibly finally being on the horizon.

Earlier today we reported on the purchase of flying car developers Terrafugia by Chinese auto giants, Geely.

Now comes a promise from Uber to have flying car services for its clients by 2020.

A new division of the world-changing ride-hailing service called Uber Elevate has been revealed and is promising future on-demand, urban air transportation.

“Vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) aircraft will bring far-reaching changes to our cities and our lives—quicker daily commutes, less traffic congestion, and cleaner air around the world.” Uber Elevate.

How far away could in the air services be? Uber is talking 2020 with trials being planned for Los Angeles.
