New generation BMW X1 sDrive models arrive in Australia.
BMW dealerships are now taking delivery of the new front-wheel drive version of the BMW X1 SUV.
With the overwhelming majority of BMW X1 vehicles barely setting foot off-road, BMW is hoping the new BMW X1 sDrive18d and sDrive20i can find new buyers for the entry-point into the brands X range of vehicles.
BMW welcomes the new 2WD X1 into the new second-generation X1 series.
Taller and wider, but shorter than the original X1, the engine choices are either 141kW/280Nm petrol (sDrive20i) or 110kW/330Nm diesel (sDrive18d), both come standard with an eight-speed automatic transmission.

Priced from $49,500 for the diesel version and $51,600 petrol (rare occasion that a petrol version is more expensive), BMW Australia boss, Marc Werner, says the front-wheel drive X1 is the perfect accompaniment to the new X1 range.
