Toyota still king of small, medium cars in February 17

February 2017 sales data shows Corolla, Camry have healthy leads…

The number one car brand in Australia, Toyota, continues to hold a healthy lead in the crucial small and medium car segments.

In a market that recorded more SUV sales than passenger cars (details here), VFACTS data shows the Toyota mainstays, Corolla and Camry, both bucked the downward trend in their segments.

While the micro car segment was again dominated by the Mitsubishi Mirage with a whopping 45.9% share of the market.

Among light car sales in Australia the Hyundai Accent remains the big-seller with nearly 20% of the market.
