Toyota HiLux remains king of the Aussie ute market

November 2016 sales data shows Australia still loves HiLux…

There’s always talk the Toyota HiLux might not cling on to its long-held mantle as the best-selling ute in Australia, however it seems that whenever that’s said the Toyota manages to find another gear.

On the way to being not only the top-selling ute/pick-up, but also the best-selling vehicle overall in Australia in 2016, VFACTS data shows the HiLux managed 3,839 sales last month.

That result comes after the Ranger out-sold the Toyota in the 4×4 ute sales race in September, a result reversed once again in November.

The Hilux finishing ahead of the Ford Ranger with total 4×2 and 4×4 sales of 3,410, Nissan Navara (1,938), Mitsubishi Triton (1,451), Isuzu D-Max (1,410), Holden Colorado (1,408), and Mazda BT-50 (1,194).
