Toyota FJ Cruiser passes sales milestone - the Toyota FJ Cruiser has recorded 10,000 Australian deliveries in Australia since 2011.

It’s taken less than five years but the Toyota FJ Cruiser has just passed 10,000 Australian sales.

The model, which does divide opinion, was launched 2011 and Toyota says the FJ Cruiser has averaged a pleasing 194 deliveries per month and that’s about twice what Toyota was expecting when it was launched.

If you’re interested in joining in the Toyota FJ Cruiser owners club, the imposing SUV is powered by a 4.0 litre V6 petrol engine and is automatic-only, prices start from $46,990.

Tony Cramb from Toyota Australia sales and marketing says the big FJ has a strong local following.

“Toyota’s FJ Cruiser has developed a passionate following in Australia as the vehicle for having outdoor fun with its retro-inspired design and serious off-road driving performance,”.

“FJ Cruiser turns heads because it embraces the compelling styling themes of the original FJ40 in a contemporary way, including angular lines, round headlights and an upright windscreen with three wiper blades.”
