Toyota Claims Top Sales Spot Again in February 2016

We are still awaiting the official February 2016 car sales data but Toyota has already released figures showing another extremely strong month for the brand in Australia.

Toyota are reporting February sales of 16,191 vehicles and an almost 6,000 vehicle lead over its nearest rival (expected to be Mazda). The brand tell us they sold 3,455 Toyota Corolla sedans and hatches in the month and that is more than any other car.

While the Toyota HiLux and Prado also had a great deal of success in the month with 3,261 HiLux deliveries (up 14% on the same month last year) and Prado sales jumping up 24.5% with 1,295 sales.

Tony Cramb from Toyota Australia sales and marketing thanking Australian car buyers for their continued support of the brand.

“We are working harder and smarter than ever to improve all areas of our business, in particular listening more closely to our customer guests to ensure they receive an exceptional ownership experience,”

“Toyota is also focused on producing ever-better vehicles such as the recently launched HiLux and Fortuner, the upcoming Prius and Corolla hybrid, and the dramatic turbo-powered C-HR that starred at this week’s Geneva motor show and is due to arrive in Australia early next year.”
