Toyota backs AFL for another three seasons

The long-running Toyota sponsorship of the AFL will continue through until at least the end of the 2019 season after the car company today announced it would sign a new three-year deal with the code.

The additional three-year commitment will take Toyota’s support for the AFL to sixteen years when the new deal expires.

Toyota president Dave Buttner said the high-visibility sponsorship has returned excellent value to the car company.

“Toyota and its dealers throughout Australia are proud to be part of the AFL family and to extend our commitment to growing this great game and supporting footy wherever it is played,”

“This is a valued partnership because both Toyota and the AFL are driven to succeed through inspiration, passion and dedication.”

While AFL Chief Executive, Gillon McLachlan, welcomed the extension of the Toyota sponsorship.

“Toyota is a highly successful values-driven organisation that is determined to be the best and has been a fantastic partner for the AFL in our efforts to grow our game.

“Our partnership has been great for Australian football and for Toyota and we hope to work together long into the future.”
