Suzuki Vitara and S-Cross Recalled Over Axle Bolt Issue

Owners warned that axle bolts might fail or loosen on Suzuki Vitara and S-Cross.

A potentially dangerous fault has been identified in the new-generation Suzuki Vitara and the Suzuki S-Cross crossover.

Affecting the APK series of the Suzuki Vitara and the AKK series of the Suzuki S-Cross, the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) recall notice says that the rear axle bolts may loosen, come away or break, potentially causing the vehicle to become inoperable.

If the defect occurs this poses a potential accident hazard to the driver and other road users.

The vehicle should be taken to an authorised Suzuki dealer to have the inspection carried out and the counter measure part fitted.
