While Suzuki Australia general manager Andrew Moore said the new Ignis would also be an option for hatchback buyers who are looking for a car that stands out.
Power comes from a 66kW/120Nm 1.2 litre petrol engine with fuel consumption quoted as low as 4.7l/100km.
The 2017 Suzuki Ignis range starts from $15,990, an automatic transmission (CVT) costing $1000 more in the base model GL.
While the upper-spec Ignis GLX is auto only and starts from $18,990.
Suzuki Australia today confirmed standard features in the Ignis include:
- Apple CarPlay
- Android Auto
- Reverse camera
- Cruise control
- Power windows
While the Ignis GLX adds:
- 16″ alloy wheels
- Digital climate control
- Push button ignition
- Sliding and reclining rear seat
These include cabin highlights such as coloured air vent surrounds, while buyers can choose different coloured wing mirrors and fog light surrounds.
