Australia-bound Grand Cherokee Trailhawk takes out Four Wheeler award…

The beefed-up Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk has been named 2017 SUV of the Year by the U.S. based FOUR WHEELER publication.

A recent addition to the Jeep Grand Cherokee range in North America, the Trailhawk model is set to land in Australia in the second quarter of 2017 (details here).

FOUR WHEELER Editor Ken Brubaker says the Grand Cherokee Trailhawk takes the Jeep to a whole new level.

“The Trailhawk model, which includes a unique version of Grand Cherokee’s Quadra-Lift air suspension to improve articulation and suspension travel, takes a capable vehicle and makes it even better.

“In addition to the great functional upgrades, the Trailhawk package adds a number of visual tweaks to create a handsome and rugged appearance.”

  • Unique Quadra-Lift air suspension

  • 18” Goodyear Adventure off-road tyres with Kevlar reinforcement

The awards were based on both on and off-road tests conducted over 1,000 miles (1,600km) and at elevations up to 9,000 feet (2,743 metres).
