SUV and 4×4 sales increases in October 2016 for Nissan

SUV/4x4 range leads the way for Nissan despite sales slowdown in October…

The October 2016 sales performance of Nissan was the definition of mixed as the brand’s SUVs and 4x4s enjoyed sales increases, while passenger car models struggled.

Selling a total of 5,543 vehicles in the month, that number represented a 7.0% decline on the same month in 2015.

Across the first ten months of 2016 Nissan sales in Australia are up 3.0%.

But it’s not the SUVs and off-roaders from Nissan that were the problem, as the VFACTS data shows it’s the brand’s declining passenger car models – Micra (now discontinued), Altima and Pulsar that are causing the most headaches.

While the Navara had a disappointing month also, particularly given the increased demand flowing through to the ute segments.
