Super Cheap Auto Trolley Jack Recalled

A vehicle jack sold in Australia by Super Cheap Auto has been recalled amid concerns the product could cause a crushing hazard.

The Super Cheap Auto (SCA) 1200kg Trolley Jack was sold as part of the SCA 5 Piece Garage Jack Pack (PLU 358257) between the 5th of July 2014 and the 26th of June 2016.

The trolley jack recall is being overseen by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC).

The ACCC recall notice advising that the affected trolley jacks are marked on the side plate with identifier number PLU 358257

The affected trolley jacks may not comply with the requirements of the mandatory standard for trolley jacks (based on the Australian/New Zealand, AS / NZS 2615-2004) in relation to Clause 6.2 Durability.

What are the hazards?

Vehicles supported by an unsafe or inappropriately used trolley jack can fall onto a person, creating risk of injury or death.

Owners of the product have been advised to immediately stop using the trolley jack and return it to store for a refund or replacement SCA 1400kg Trolley Jack.
