Subaru Seven Seat SUV not coming to Australia

Subaru Seven Seat SUV not coming to Australia

Subaru Australia has confirmed we are unlikely to see a Subaru seven seat SUV at any point in the future.

Subaru is developing a seven seat SUV for the North America that will be built in the US.

However, Subaru Australia Managing Director, Nick Senior, this evening told us that it would be extremely unlikely that the vehicle will be ever built in right-hand drive.

The new vehicle, which is also unlikely to be again carry the Tribeca name (the previously available Subaru seven seat SUV as pictured above), is expected to appear in Subaru dealerships in North America in 2018.

Rumored to be called the Subaru Ascent 7, it will take on rivals like the Toyota Kluger (Highlander in the US), Nissan Pathfinder, Kia Sorento and Hyundai Santa Fe.

On hand to launch the new sporty Subaru Levorg wagon, we quizzed Mr Senior on the chances of a seven seat model coming to Australia, his response though left us fairly certain that we will be missing out.

Stranger things have happened however and we will bring you any further news as it comes to hand.
