Spartan Chassis to debut new heavy-duty chassis

New bus/RV chassis option for North America

U.S.-based Spartan Specialty Vehicles will debut this all-new heavy-duty bus/RV chassis in the U.S. this weekend.

Flying the flag with the ‘Stars and Stripes’ (as a tribute to the company’s workforce), the new chassis will be unveiled at an RV show in Pennsylvania.

Known as the Entegra Cornerstone K3 605, the 45-foot (13.7 metre) chassis features a Cummins X15 605hp diesel engine and six-speed Allison Transmission (4000 MH).

Spartan say the front independent suspensionon the K3 is rated to 20,000-pounds (nine tonnes) and the chassis boasts a 20,000-pound towing capacity.

Daryl Adams, President and CEO of Spartan Motors, says it’s an ideal base for a luxury class motorhome.

“This chassis brings together exceptional functionality, manoeuvrability, reliability and industry-leading safety technologies.

“The crowd (at the RV/Camping show) will understand and appreciate the craftsmanship that goes into this particular chassis design.”
