Scania recalls promotional Teddy Bear

Most of the time the safety recalls we cover surround mechanical and electrical faults, not teddy bear faults!

A global safety recall has just been initiated by Scania after a teddy bear sold by the truck and bus manufacturer’s merchandise department was found to pose a possible choking hazard.

The recall affects the Teddy bear with blue zipper vest.

The bear carries the identification number - P/N 2199875 and Scania says it has been found that the zipper on the vest could come loose and could pose a risk of choking.

No incidents have been reported.

The product has been sold at Scania dealer shops, at Scania shops during events and exhibitions and at the webshop.

A total of 7,531 teddy bears have been sold across the world.

Customers are asked to immediately stop using the teddy bear and return it to any Scania dealer for a full refund.

You can find your local Scania dealer on the Scania website.
